I am signing this petition in agreement with the following letter. Together, let us secure and build a bright future with an amazing 27-acre park at Bushwick Inlet for our children, our community, and all New Yorkers.

July 15, 2016

Dear Mayor de Blasio and Mr. Brodsky,

As community organizations that have worked with both the City of New York and Mr. Brodsky to build a stronger community through many local civic and cultural projects, we are writing in hopes that you will both work diligently to create the 27-acre Bushwick Inlet Park.

We are all part of an American journey that has taken waterfront from wetlands to industry to coveted land, once appreciated by few and now by many.

We ask that you seek to ensure the reclamation of this land as a park. In the tradition of Olmsted, we implore you to keep your eyes on the future to create the open and green space that is so essential to the benefit of all in this ever-growing city.

We very much appreciate your efforts and look forward to the moment when all parties - civic leaders, business leaders and community - will join to celebrate the resolution, build a park, and cut the ribbon together on opening day.

Sincerely,

Park Moms: Susan Albrecht, Robin Hagert, Nancy Kearin, Jessie Leaman, Katie Naplatarski

Town Square: Susan Anderson, Hilda Abadia, Nancy Hernandez, Yvette Mora, Charlotte Binns, Brad Anderson, Lydia Cavallo
