We look forward to your next step in saving our ice rink - attending tomorrow night's Planning Commission meeting. On Tuesday night, the Planning Commission will evaluate and vote on SPI Holdings LLC's proposal to tear down our beloved ice rink. It is imperative that you show the City that this is unacceptable. The meeting will be held Tuesday at 730p, at City Hall Council Chambers, 330 West 20th Avenue in San Mateo. We will send more details tomorrow. In addition, please take two minutes and leave a comment at the bottom of Sue Lempert's op-ed in today's Daily Journal. Sue was the Mayor at the time of the 1998 decision to keep the ice rink zoning. Let Sue know that San Mateo (and neighboring) residents have faith that their Council will put the interests of the community over the profits of an out of town developer.
