Dear San Mateo Ice Rink Supporter, We just received notice that the City Planning Commission will be reviewing a proposal from the developer on December 8, 2015. Please save the date. At this meeting, the developer will ask the City to change the current zoning for the ice rink property. The developer is asking the City to amend the 20-year old Bridgepointe Master Plan in exchange for a payment of $3 million. This would mean that the rink would be torn down for good. It is imperative that you attend this meeting to show the City that this is unacceptable. Please plan on attending. The meeting will likely be held at 730p, at City Hall Council Chambers, 330 West 20th Avenue. We will keep you posted as the date approaches. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
