This Petition has been Created to Show the Kingaroy Council that there is plenty of Support from the Local Community to Shade Our Swimming Pool.

Various conversations have been had with Locals in regards to the Lack of shade over the Main swimming pool and the half measures over the Children's pool. We have a responsibility to Ourselves and to Our Children to ensure that we are protected from the Sun and UV!

Slip, Slop, Slap only does so much and it surely is not enough Protection when there is still a Main element missing!

For many years Families have gathered around local pools to beat the heat and Sadly that is not possible with the current lack of Shade at the Kingaroy Swimming pool. Instead of increasing the shade they actually Removed some, by removing some of the surrounding trees where people could escape the heat... This makes No sense!

Sunburn and Heat Stroke are only the tip of the Ice Burg, the long lasting effects from the Sun can be devastating.

When this Matter was last taken to the Council, Deputy Mayor Keith Campbell said, "There is Potential for Kingaroy swimming pool to get Shade if there is a big enough demand. We encourage those people to express that to comment through the Council Offices"

Not only would this be a great benefit for those who want to use the swimming pool, it would also get more customers through the gate... So really everyone Wins!
