We did it!! Thank you to all of our volunteers, our supporters, our letter-writers, and our literally thousands of petitioners and other allies. Thank you Council Member Sledge, and all of Metro Council, who voted unanimously last night to save the William Edmondson Homesite Park & Gardens. Next, we continue working diligently to ensure that the property is transfered to Parks Dept. for a genuinely community-led planning process for the future of the park. People matter. Art matters. Greenspace matters. African American history matters. Community matters.
