With this coronavirus pandemic, we as a whole industry have been all affected. Venue owners, cake decorators, rental event companies, vendors, event planners and more. We are petitioning to make all our government, state agencies and officials aware of an industry that has not been mentioned by those in the news or the government, How are these agencies going to help us survive when the experts saying it may take at least 6 months or more to start getting back on our feet to conduct business as usual. Most of us have a major overhead. Rent, utilities, car notes, insurance, employees, etc to maintain our business to stay afloat not to mention what our business pays for at our homes (Rent, utilities, food, child care, medical bills, etc). Most of us are not prepared for such a long duration of downtime without events booked and paid for to be able to sustain the length that they are saying. On the contrary, a lot of events have been canceled. People are not going to spend on future dates not knowing the unknown. The government has mentioned that the big major corporations would have a bailout as well as SBA Loans but these don't help us get a plan in place to be able to qualify and pay. This will make a ripple effect on every aspect that makes our industry and livelihoods thrive. I know our voices count as we are active in our democratic process and how our elected officials count on every one of us to do their jobs. You are our voices! We don't want to lose everything we have worked day and night for. We need answers and we need them yesterday! If we don't get the help we need, we will lose everything, if we have not already. How will we live and take care of our family's bills and give back to our communities?
