Despite the occasional motorcycle and cheers, it looks like the cops are much more on top of it now.  I don’t walk up and down Steinway at night to check this but judging by the noise level we went from my windows rattling at 3am to hearing police cars patrolling around 11pm. Brik has been shut down for outdoor serving for a week as a warning.  I think these kind of warnings are a good way to signal the city is serious about keeping the peace without costing the business its livelihood.  Hopefully they’ll heed the advise.

Please keep posting a link to this petition, call 311 (it might not seem like it does anything but when the complaints count to the hundreds, they start paying attention), and SLA. We are close to 1100 which is amazing but I think we can grow to 1500 before sending the official paper document to the mayor.
