With great sadness and despair, I have to announce that we've been agressed physically yet again by the neighbours.
It all started with a simple neighbourhood dispute that should have been settled before the justice (juge de paix - vrederechter) The day before yesterday, on the 15th, I took some  pictures of a neighbour's car unlawfully parked on the private way belong to the house we live in (no right of way/geen overpad/pas de servitude). He decided  to confront me, wanted to seize my phone and to delete the photos, which would serve as proofs. I refused, said he had no right and that it would be dealt with by the judge. He then threatened me again and started a countdown to hit me. I then shouted for help as loud and long as I could so that my partner would hear and also the neighbours around. This car neighbour started to hit me on the head with his fist while I was continuously shouting. My partner arrived to help me and saw the very last part of him hitting me. In the meantime, my shouts also alerted the neighbours who sponsored the first homophobic agression. I could see him running from the distance to hit my partner. He had a sadistic smile on his face and without having any interest in the matter, he jumped on us without saying anything and started to punch him first (jaw, sternum, etc) and me (head, chest, arms and legs) accompanying the punching with a flow of homophobic verbal abuses. My partner was very brave and still whilst being punched managed to get us back to the front little gate of the house. I rushed into the house, calling police and ambulance whilst my partner was trying to stop the homophobic neighbour, who had jumped onto the gate to get into the property, saying he would murder both of us, still within a flow of homophobic abuses. The neighbour opposite to our house finally stopped this insane drama by whistling and shouting at the homophobic and murder minded neighbour. I was rushed to the hospital and am still suffering from cerebral commotion and multiple contusions.

Gaslighting from these homophobic neighbours went hand in hand with constant harassement. It's a common practice for agressors trying once again to minimise, to turn victims into  agressors and finally pretend, like for the last agression, that it was just a verbal dispute and nothing ever really happened but in the mind of a crazy guy :
A usual way of proceeding for such people and unfortunately it can work as we could see in the vilification emails our owners received and other neighbours were also brainwashed through sweetsmouthing and shameless denial and minimisation..
We need your help in that matter, please sign and share the petition. In such cases agressors are normally taken to the police station and deprived of their freedom. I have no news from the Overijse Police station as for what they did, whether they'll come or not for me to be able to lodge a complaint, I wasn't offered any victim's assistance and had to call to get the name of the service, which they couldn't give me right away and the homophobic agressor was parading proudly on the street already yesterday whilst the neighbours are retracting into their shells.
UNIA's reports on homophobic agressions are getting worse and worse. Fiches are being compiled by the rainbowhouses in order to better understand the causes of such a terrible trend. The rainbowcops also offered their help in order to see what could have gone wrong at the Druivenstreek/Overijse Police.
