Hello again,
Thank you for signing my petition to support our strike!
In less than two weeks, starting on 18 January, my colleagues and I will head into what is set to be one of the longest security guards’ strikes in the history of the NHS. We need your support again!
Striking for six weeks is going to be very tough. But we are determined to fight for equality and what we deserve: sick and injury pay, annual leave, parental leave, enhanced maternity cover, overtime and pension contributions.
Our fight is not just about us, it’s everybody’s fight because it goes beyond the small group of people that we are. It's about ending outsourcing practices within the NHS, which put money above people. It’s about protecting our beloved National Health Service from privatisation via the back door. It’s about dismantling the structural racism which pits NHS workers against each other. If our fight for full parity wins, others across the country will benefit too, our win will be everybody’s win.
So, help us keep up the fight. We can’t do it without you!
To support us during this time:

- JOIN the action group if your want to be more hands on during the six week strike
- Please spread the word among your family, friends, colleagues, followers and any groups you belong to via social media channels, email, zoom calls or a chat in the pub! There is strength in numbers!
