In the early nineties, Learning Curve created the Thomas Wooden Railway line. This was one of the most successful Thomas the Tank Engine products.

Since 2013, Mattel has owned the Thomas Wooden Railway line. In July of 2017, they decided to completely discontinue it and replace it with a new line called Thomas and Friends Wood. This has been a huge change in something that has been successful for nearly 30 years. Mattel is making the engines and vehicles unappealing to potential customers. Some products now have large spaces where cheaply made plastic figures are supposed to go. Some iconic characters, such as Edward, Henry and Toby, have been discontinued and were not included in the new line. The track that has remained for several years has also been replaced with one that is incompatible with the old one. Some rumors have come up that Edward and Henry will be removed in the upcoming 2018 series and replaced by two new characters. 

Myself and many other people do not want to see these classic characters removed and do not want to see a line as successful as Thomas Wooden Railway changed. I respectfully request Mattel to bring back Thomas Wooden Railway. I would really appreciate it and I know others would too. Together, we all can bring back Thomas Wooden Railway.
