Burden of Proof Bills Filed; Hearing Dates

Two bills placing the burden of proof on school districts in special education due process hearings have been cross-filed in the Maryland General Assembly: In the Senate, SB0390 (sponsored by Senator Karen Montgomery), and in the House of Delegates, HB0344 (sponsored by Delegate Alonzo Washington). Hearing dates have also been set: the Senate Hearing is Wed. 2/25 and the House hearing is Thurs. 3/5.
