For many new cars, in order to get a high end model (or any model, for some cars), you have to get it with a leather interior, and/or a leather wrapped steering wheel. There are many people who don't want to kill animals just to have seats in their cars, or a steering wheel. We are asking the big 3 car makers to offer a "vegan option" for people who don't want to sit on the skins of dead animals, but want to buy nice cars with all the other options. Please consider that veganism/animal rights is a growing trend among consumers, and they buy new cars, too. Those cars are just as nice with cloth seats as they are with leather. Let us buy cloth seats and vinyl steering wheels in ANY car, not just base models.
