Hello All, 

I wanted to bring you this latest update for all of you who have been supporting the #RecastTChalla campaign. I am so proud to say that we have truly made a difference! Back in December of 2020 Marvel said flat out "We will not recast the role of T'Challa". That comment in itself, with no conditions stated, is precisely what set off the #RecastTChalla campaign. Fast forward a year and a half, due to constant pressure from the #RecastTChalla movement, President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, has now backtracked a bit by saying "It was much too soon to recast" the role of T'Challa. Had he said that from the beginning, I think many of us would have been in full agreement and would have patiently waited for T'Challa's return. So, in my opinion, the change in his statement is a WIN for the #RecastTChalla campaign! Of course, this campaign will continue until T'Challa is back on the big screen.

As I've mentioned from the very beginning, this campaign was not only to honor the character of T'Challa, but also the person of Chadwick Boseman. While filming Black Panther, Chadwick would also go out of his way to visit the sick children at St. Jude's Research Hospital. He would do this while facing his battle with cancer. He was truly a superhero both on and off camera. 

With that said, I'm starting the #WakandaForeverChallenge.  I believe this can be the next step in truly bringing awareness to a worthy cause.
