Our petition has collected 20 new signatures since my last update email , with 657 total signatures so far. I have also changed the link to make it clearer for non-Spidey fans unfamiliar with "One More Day". However, our petition still needs a lot of help. We need more people to share our petition and, most importantly, we need more Spider-Man fans to sign this petition. Also, please remember to ask your friends and fellow Spider-Man fans if they would like to sign and/or share this petition as well. The more signatures that we collect for this petition, the more likely our dream of seeing Marvel Comics bring the marriage of Peter and Mary Jane Watson-Parker back to the monthly "The Amazing Spider-Man" comics might become a reality!
I recently shared a photo of this petition on my Instagram ( https://www.instagram.com/stuartgreen3/ ) and Marvel's Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski replied, saying, "Peter's one true love will always be Gwen." I replied back with a quote by Peter Parker from "The Spectacular Spider-Man Annual" #8: "But I love you more than I EVER loved her. I love her and I miss her and she's dead. Gwen was my past, M.J. You're my future." It's so disappointing that so many people in charge of the current Spider-Man comics refuse to keep Peter and Mary Jane together. I sincerely hope that changes sooner rather than later and that Marvel gives the fans what they want: keeping Peter and Mary Jane together as a happily married couple.
