Marvel thinks that superheroes are only for boys and princesses are only for girls.

They are completely ignoring their only female superhero, The Black Widow in their merchandising. I can buy action figures of all the male Avengers but not the Black Widow.

I have started this petition asking Marvel to include the Black Widow more prominently in their merchandising.

I’m a big fan of the Black Widow. She’s intelligent, smart and strong. In the Avengers movies she kicks ass alongside male superheroes like Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor and Captain America. She deserves her own action figure.

I’m an aspiring filmmaker in India, and I know the positive impact strong female characters can have on society.

In India we need more female superheroes for little girls and women to look up to. Marvel’s treatment of the Black Widow has outraged me.

The new Avengers movie will break box-office records around the world. By ignoring the Black Widow, Marvel is insulting half its audience.

Marvel is sending the message that they only care about their male audience. If thousands of us sign this petition, we will send a strong message to Marvel that we want equal treatment for female superheroes.

Sign this petition and make Marvel include the Black Widow in their merchandising.
