MARTA is proposing to reroute bus route 74 – Flat Shoals.  The proposed termination point is King Memorial Station instead of the current termination, Five Points Station.

The segments along Memorial Drive, Capitol Avenue, Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Broad Street, Alabama Street, Peachtree Street, and Mitchell Street will be discontinued.

1. This dramatically increases all rider's commute times
2. Adds an additional leg to most, if not all, rider's commutes
3. The new termination location is further from job centers, which are almost all concentrated on the North / South Lines (Airport, Downtown, Midtown, Buckhead, Central Perimeter)
4. Significantly discourages choice ridership on this route
5. Residents of Capitol Gateway and students at the Wesley International Academy will be significantly impacted by the termination of this service, forcing seniors and children to find alternative routes and change their commute entirely
