Let's Keep the Pressure on Marriott!!

Thank you so much to all those who have supported this petition to date! One month ago, when this petition had less than 500 supporters, Marriott sent a polite but dismissive response saying that although they have down alternative pillows that are just as comfortable and almost indistinguishable from real down, they still intend to continue placing down pillows and duvets in their hotel rooms. Marriott says they intend to do this because that’s what their guests want. The fact that Marriott responded to this petition at a time when it had so few supporters, shows that they truly care about public opinion. However, since there were so few signatures at the time, Marriott undoubtedly felt that change was not necessary because the petition had so little support. Now our petition has almost 70,000 supporters, and is gaining 1,000 signatures a day! Let’s keep the pressure on and let Marriott know that there’s more support for eliminating down pillows from their hotels than they thought! If you’re a Marriott rewards member, be sure to say so in the comment section, so Marriott executives will see that their assumptions about guests wanting down pillows were unfounded! Marriott has a unique opportunity here to become a trend setter and to gain the loyal support of animal lovers, environmentalists and eco-friendly guests worldwide! Let’s keep the pressure on and let Marriott know that there is wide support for eliminating down pillows and duvets from their hotels!
