This petition is very important because Marqueas is a very talented, kind, and determined young man who should be home with his family.He was set up by his friends to commit a murder,with which he did not go through with because the type of knowledge and wisdom his grandmother instilled in him.        

In court Wednesday, Buchanan cried as his pastor and grandmother spoke about how, before the crime, he was a helpful and decent person. Buchanan had no criminal record before his arrest . He said his father had a stroke as police were interrogating him and he confessed to the crime.  

In the two and a half years Buchanan has been in jail since his arrest, he has counseled other teens in Chester County’s Project STORM, a “Scared Straight”-type program aimed at keeping kids away from gangs, guns and violence. Before his arrest he was an inspiring musician and was also apart of the Chester high school band.Why snatch away a bright future.

There is enough evidence for him to be home,he DID NOT have gun powder residue on his fingers or and he did not pull the trigger which killed (anonymous) .Two boys admitted Marqueas did not commit any crime.So why is he not home?.Marqueas had a full bucket of college acceptsnce letters ,his life should not be ruined behind bars because of the actions of his peers.There is also evidence of Marqueas denying helping his friend killing his grandparents.SO AGAIN WHY ISN`T HE HOME? Since his arrest date Marqueas has been showing his growth,he has graduated while incarcerated, he has been working in house and he has stayed out of trouble from his arrest date prior to now.Marqueas was afraid for his life and took a plea for 30 years due to the fact he did not want to end up with a life sentence for a crime he did not commit.Being an African American male with Various tattoos the world already had their eyes raised up at you.The news portrayed him as a evil criminal,which is not him at all he has nieces and nephews that look up to him as a role model.He is family oriented and since this case his father has had two strokes.Right is right and wrong is wrong he does not deserve to be in prison,if he committed the crime then yes he should be incarcerated by all means but he did not so he shall be release and justice shall be served.! Everyone speaks highly of this young man and his life before this situation
