Petition updateMaroon 5: Drop Out of the Super Bowl Halftime ShowHey there! We gotta call someone out... ((Please Read This))

What's going on? It's been a while.

Obviously, you have to be living on Mars to not know what's taken place all over the world in the last few weeks since George Floyd's police murder (maybe the folks in Mars might have heard of it as well).

One thing we've been seeing is a literal shift in opinions on FINALLY understanding the plight of Black lives everywhere -- and companies & influencers are now jumping on the "social justice" bandwagon.

And while that's great, we've seen some companies & influencers get called out for posting "Black Lives Matter" but never treated their Black employees right, hired Black employees, or have a questionable past on race matters.

One person that will fit this mold is Maroon 5's Adam Levine. I was recently alerted that he's been posting on Instagram about social justice and all, but when he had the chance to not perform during the 2019 Super Bowl in protest to the NFL's treatment of Colin Kaepernick, he folded! We even asked him to #TakeAKnee during the show, but he and his guest artists that performed that night never did that.

So I feel he needs to admit what he failed to do and own up to his mistake!

If NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell can admit the NFL was wrong by not listening to their players, Adam Levine should be able to admit that Maroon 5 fell short of holding the NFL accountable for its racist policies during the 2019 Super Bowl. He needs to own that mistake, and call for other celebrities to do more than just post on social media. We need real change!

I'm about to comment on one of his posts to call him out on this. If you want to do that as well, that will be great. I want you to join me. More than 113,000 of you signed this petition. Your voice can & WILL make a difference.

If a bunch of us can go on his Instagram RIGHT NOW and post this (or something similar) that will be great:

Hey @AdamLevine. Glad to see you standing up for racial justice, but where were you when fans asked you not to play the SuperBowl in solidarity with @kaepernick7? You ignored them and endorsed the blatant racism of the NFL. If Roger Goodell can own their mistake, will you?

Let's do it now. Hopefully he takes note and apologizes. An apology can go a long way -- ESPECIALLY FOR HIM.

Vic
