Attention all Markham citizens.

Currently the city of Markham does not have its own animal shelter and so they outsource all animal related services to the SPCA in Newmarket. 

A locally owned and run shelter would allow for better care of our lost and homeless pets, would greatly support the current volunteer animal rescue groups in York Region, and would better provide a safe and enjoyable community for pets and pet lovers alike.
