Effective immediately and very likely a result of this petition, Marea Stamper has decided to cease the use of "The Black Madonna" as her DJ moniker. 

THANK YOU TO ALL FOR THE SUPPORT OF THIS PETITION. I don't think this would have happened without it. 

This is a small step forward on an issue that is historically complex and nuanced. I urge everyone to stay aware, stay educated, stay open-minded and most of all keep talking to one another so that we can ALL reach a level of UNDERSTANDING.
