Lolo Dominador lost his wife in a hit and run accident, while his five children left him one after the other. Soon, he found himself wandering aimlessly around the streets of Manila looking for leftover food inside garbage bins. Slowly, his mental health was affected due to old age and health problems. Concerned citizens brought Lolo Dominador at Haven for the Elderly which is located at Tanay, Rizal. Now, he is being well taken care of.

This is just one of the reasons as to why the elderly people are being left behind in Nursing Homes. Usually, the main reasons as to why they are being left is because of financial problems, lack of time, and personal obligations. After being left at Nursing Homes, they would be soon forgotten by their loved ones which affects them mentally and emotionally because of how depressing the reality of their situation is.
