We've said for a long time that the Bring Widlene Home campaign is national news worthy. Widlene's heartbreaking story deserves to be told at the highest of levels. While we are grateful for ALL of the media coverage we have received thus far, as of Friday, March 6th, things were turned up a notch or two.
The National Post is one of Canada's biggest news outlets. Known for their extensive reporting on stories from across the country and all over the world, they leave no rock unturned and aren't afraid to ask the thought provoking questions.
John Ivison contacted us directly, eager to cover Widlene's battle and he did not disappoint. He was able to articulate the story without missing a detail, all the while enraging the readers.
"There is something profoundly rotten when the machinery of government loses its connection to the welfare of the people it is meant to be serving."
Click the link below to read the whole article. You won't be sorry you did. Unlike anyone else that has covered this story, Ivison was able to get a Liberal MP to go on record expressing their frustration.
This is only the start of our national coverage. Widlene's story will continue to get louder until this government does the right thing. Keep your eyes open for more big time media coming your way.
