Safe School Zone

School shootings/ stabbings and Violence in general are becoming apart of everyday society. Why? Our county has been shocked by such violence too many times..... SO WHERE IS THE ISOLATED INCIDENT? I think we would the majority of students would feel more secure and safe going to school and taking our youth to the high schools with the assurance that metal detectors provide. Even though going thru metal detectors was sometimes a pain during my High School years as student quotes " I felt safe knowing I was protected. We shouldn't have to live in fear and scared to go out and enjoy life" If amusement parks, sporting events such as baseball, basketball and football games as well as concert venues can provide metal detectors for the safety of its customers, High Schools can do the same. Students and Tax payers are the Customer. It doesn't take away from the experience but rather gives you comfort in knowing some effort is being made to protect your child in High Schools. 16 signatures to go and 17 hours until the first meeting.....
