CanWhite Sands Inc. is now resorting to outright intimidation tactics against those who have expressed issues with CanWhite Sands Inc silica sand mine on social media.
So much for a commitment to working cooperatively with communities to ensure the best possible outcome.
On January 8, 2020 I was carbon copied on a cease-and-desist letter from a lawyer at TDS, a large Winnipeg based law firm representing CanWhite Sands Inc., that was addressed to a person living near Vivian, who expressed their concern about CanWhite Sands Inc. activities on social media.
In my humble opinion, this type of tactic by CanWhite, an Alberta based company, that are currently looking for approval from surrounding communities in Southeastern Manitoba and from the Province of Manitoba, is not the wisest move for a company in the midst of seeking acceptance and or social licence for its silica sand mine project.
I am not sure how they do things in Alberta, but here in Manitoba we tend to do things differently
