It has been reported yesterday that Rosemary Maione arrested and charged with manslaughter after her abuse of Ann Marie Smith by not feeding her, moving her or caring for her properly for the last few years before she died (an adult with cerebral palsey whose parents had passed away)has been greeted with gladness and relief by other parents of disability children young and adult...
however as noted in an article by the ABC news
The NDIS had not even considered Ann Marie Smith a vulnerable person! She was in a wheelchair unable to move or feed herselp she could not defend herself or go out anywhere what is not vulnerable about that? Her parents had died.
Ann Marie was all alone with her parents both passed away though leaving her a house to live in and money, she was at the mercy of those who cared for her...and that carer instead stole from her, did not feed her, bathe her, or move her, never seeing the light of day that carer Rosemary Mione left her like that for a year meanwhile being paid by the organization Integrity care a provider from NDIS. The woman one of the Articles of ABC news said also had been a carer or one of the carers of Ann Marie for seven years! Perhaps she saw an opportunity to steal after becoming the sole carer. Whatever who motives there was stealing and abuse involved and the using of the poor girl's car and racking up fines.
What kind of monster of this.
The ABC article also notes that what happened to Ann Marie smith created anxiety in the community of parents with children with disabilities. They are terrified of what will happen to their children when they are gone.

I feel the same. The NDIS called me recently and said do you have responsibility for James, do you take care of his funds...always about funds not about care...
Yes I do I said but you are not taking care of people look at what happened to Ann Marie Smith...
What will happen to my son when I die - will he be starved to death by some evil worker? We need people to help those who are left with no parents, we need doctors and nurses to call in. Actual human beings like social workers and case workers who call in and check, not just phone calls and internet forms to fill out. You are letting people die. They are not being cared for properly. It is not enough to make phone calls or expect someone who cannot move and has no family watching her, to organize all her own care.

Not only should the Carer be charged - there should be a charge against Intergrity Care, a fine is not enough for the gross negligence of someone under their 'care'
hired by Anglicare-
A christian organization also in charge of Newmarch house where aged people were not allowed to be moved recently when they caught the Covirt virus and the organization even threatened the adult children of the old people who were there with fines should they try to take them out. It was criminal and wrong and a class action is now being taken against Newmarch house, by those people who watched their parents slowly die through the windows when they wanted to move them to a hospital. For shame we are not a christian country at all we are money mongers with organizations who do not value humans when they are old or disabilitied.

The same with Ann Marie Smith where was the love of Christ shown to this person by Anglicare? May I remind those Anglicans who believe in Jesus when meet someone else's you are doing it to Jesus - that if you meet someone thirsty you give them a drink, if they are hungry you feed them, if you are sick you visit them this was not delivered to the old people at Newmarch nor poor Ann Marie Smith...when she was left to die slowly that worker was doing it to Jesus...He wont forget...neither should Anglicare...who are you people?
Ann Marie was not given any decent care in the end and died in a nightmare situation, death would have been a relief a crime by her carer as bad as murder.

Rose has been sentenced with manslaughter but really to many of us that should have been murder because she killed the girl deliberately not looking after her properly. This is not some little new casual carer this woman had know Ann Marie for 7 years and she took this opportunity.

The psychology of this woman to me is that she was a narcissist, only caring about herself, she should not have been a carer. Rose had a grown son and made sure she looked after him - but not Ann Marie Smith how could she be so double? Like a mafia boss who looks after his dear and shows love and tenderness children and kills others and their families cold bloodedly for their money or misdemeanors, this woman was clearly a psychopath who did not care if someone else suffered. She may have viewed Ann Marie Smith as not worth looking after and not human she could have formulated that in her mind or she could have just been full of greed and couldnt help herself in the end taking all she could off the one she was meant to care for. For shame she should get a lot of prison time...for the hell she put Ann Marie smith through.

The carer saw the house and the money Ann Marie had left to her by her parents who wanted her looked after and she took the opportunity to neglect this girl while pocketing her pay.

How Ann Marie Smith who could not move and had no other family helping her, was not classified as 'vulnerable' by the ndis begs belief.

Stuart Robert, the head of NDIS, needs to experience what it is like to have a disability and be at the mercy of other people who dont care about you. I hear he has written books on Jesus.

Where was the love of Christ from him? - just a religious facade it seems. Likewise those at Anglicare you did not do for Ann Marie Smith what Jesus told you to do in simple terms...give her a drink when she needed it, give her food when she needed it, take her out in the sun when she needed it...visit her when she needed it...for the very least person not important or least rich in worldly terms that you do it to you are doing it to Him and if you neglect someone you are also doing it to Him. Where were the christian neighbours or decent friends in all this - how cold hearted our society has become. It will not be forgotten. Not now and not in the next life. Mark my words.
Rose Mione the perpetrator should get a life sentence for the death she incurred on Ann Marie Smith  -the dear one none would help...

all the best
