Dear supporters,

I hadn't shared any updates recently because we were shocked to learn the news that Paramedic Stone died by suicide in late November.  We were anxious to have our case heard on Dec. 10th as we had waited more than a year to have a date set by the court.

Our local newspaper shared a recap about our case on Nov. 26th and then we learned a few days later of the suicide.

Below is the article published on Dec. 9th about the tragedy and postponement of our court date.

I grieve for the survivors of Paramedic Stone's family, friends, and colleagues because I know all too well how his loss will impact and forever change them.   This court case should have been resolved and settled out of court years ago!

I demand that our Kentucky legislators take a close look at how complaints have been handled across the Commonwealth and ask why I have been stonewalled in seeking accountability for the gross and criminal actions that occurred related to our incident.

Open Record tapes with the Kentucky State Police will provide you with the audio transcript by the Kentucky State Police where the former Director admits to the KSP detective that she lied to the Kentucky Board of EMS when they investigated the whistleblower complaint about the faulty equipment which was filed by Paramedic Stone.   The former director admits that the agency was "lax" and "complacent" under her supervision and management.

Please help us demand changes and reach out to your legislator or more specifically, Rep. Hart, Rep. Fleming, Rep. Rabourn, Rep. Decker, and Senator Reed whom I've been speaking with regarding the need to incorporate Luke's law to provide due process regarding complaints.  Please help share and get more signatures!!
