Aged care has always been a vulnerable place for our elderly. 

Over the years many have died preventable deaths and infection control has always been an issue. 

Many aged care facilities in Victoria are dealing with tragic COVID-19 outbreaks, and too many residents have died.    

These homes are under the federal government's jurisdiction.  Because they didn’t have infection control, and too few skilled staff, these facilities were vulnerable.  

Skilled staff have been called into these facilities to sort out this tragedy but if they had been employed in the first place we may not be seeing the deaths of residents from COVID-19.
