What We Did:

We initially launched a campaign focused on addressing the issue of inadequate and poorly installed metal roof drainage systems in Victoria. Our efforts concentrated on advocating for mandatory professional roof drainage design in the building permit process for new constructions. This was to ensure that these systems were efficiently designed and implemented, primarily to tackle the persistent problems of leakages and related structural damages.

Why We Expanded Australia-Wide:

As our campaign gained momentum and visibility, it became evident that the challenges we confronted in Victoria were not isolated incidents but were reflective of a nationwide issue. Australia's builders, homeowners, and tradespeople faced similar difficulties due to substandard roof drainage design and execution. Recognising these issues' broader scope and impact, we decided to extend our advocacy to encompass all Australian states and territories. This strategic shift amplifies our message and aligns with our mission to improve building standards and practices across the country, ensuring safer, more reliable, and high-quality construction for all Australians.
