I want to take a moment to say a massive thank you to every single one of you for taking the time to sign this petition - an even bigger thank you to those who have shared the petition with friends/family or on social media as that is how we keep the momentum. A special thank you to those who have donated towards this petition to help promote it, truly every contribution helps more people see this campaign. We are so close to reaching 1,000 signatures!
Seeing everyone’s names come in and those of you sharing your stories in the comments has truly shown me how many of us are impacted daily by the lack of accessible parking. Change must happen.
Behind the scenes I’ve been working on different social media posts as well as fliers that will be made available to help spread the word about this campaign. Yes! Fliers that YOU can help hang up or pass out! A huge shout out to my friend Carina who has been helping me look into different non profit organizations to back the campaign who also align with the mission of achieving access for all and will join forces with us all in this fight. (If you work at/with a non profit that you think would like to join in the support, please reach out!)
On a slightly different note, I want to voice how difficult this time has been for the disabled community as our rights are being attacked daily.
