The Mark Simone show on WOR addressed again the dangerous lawlessness of bike and motorbike riders on the streets and sidewalks of NYC. These vehicles are running down pedestrians at alarming rates, New Yorkers are irate, and law enforcement has become an oxymoron.

Last month, 50 officers patrolled the quiet blocks around Trump Tower, as a couple on an unlicensed motorcycle drove onto the sidewalk, intentionally struck down a woman from behind, and fled the scene laughing, without a single reaction by the force.  Wouldn’t even open a case.  What an ingenious way to lower the statistical crime rate, and make our brave officers look like Keystone Cops.

Apart from inaction, the only finger-lifting by authorities is debate over whether to fund or defund the police, while the true issue is lack of effectual management and leadership to protect pedestrians, and restore honor to our valiant men in blue.

Oh, forgot to mention the city flashed a post on an electronic billboard near GCS, informing it is illegal to ride bikes and motorized vehicles on the sidewalk. How many lives do you think this sign saved?
