This morning I had the opportunity to meet at a county breakfast to discuss the current legislation being passed in the state of Utah with local state senators. While I may not agree with many political stances in Utah I can say that I will not let the matter of jaw insurance rest. There are so many women, men and some children struggling with jaw issues across the country. The jaw joint is the 2nd biggest source of physical pain in the United States behind back pain. Some will commit suicide due to lack of coverage from insurance, resources and financial restrictions. I am so proud to say I am working close with my friend @saviwilliams28 (also a TMJ replacement warrior), senator @mike.mckell and his team to start writing bills to create change. I hope to have a bill on the floor in 2026 if not 2027. My goal is to have insurance treat the TMJ joint (one of the most used joints in the body) to be treated as any other joint in the health care community. We can do better as a state and better as a nation. I have created a petition to push the matter and show how many people this has really impacted across the nation.
