In January, Utah legislators introduced four separate reform bills to end or restrict the clergy loophole. Sadly, the Utah Senate President, Stuart Adams (a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) not only shut down the bills but wouldn't even allow them to be discussed or debated during this session. We cannot let this issue be ignored--in Arizona or Utah! There are powerful religious groups who are fighting this reform and are putting the perpetrator before the victim.
