Manchester metrolink stop killing rabbits brutally on rabbit island to make way for metro.
The Issue
Image and information reporting this story taken and owned by Manchester evening newspaper Saturday 4th February. Manchester metrolink are currently in the process of making way for a new metrolink which connects Manchester to the Trafford centre. However, the metrolink runs through an area know as rabbit island and metrolink have said that the easiest solution to deal with the rabbits was with ferrets to chase them out of their burrows and then to wring their necks. On Friday, Kim wright a bypasser filmed a contractor cruelly and brutally killing rabbits and hitting them with spades and then tossing them in their vans and triumphantly celebrating to a crowd of people as they left which highlights their complete lack of compassion and insensitivity for these poor wild rabbits that are being killed out of their home. Please help us stand up to Manchester metrolink and make them come up with an alternatively solution rather than barbarically killing these poor defenceless animals. Help us raise awareness and make our voices be heard to the wider community regarding this issue. This is NOT ok.
