Thank you everyone and please keep sharing

Hi Everyone, Just a quick note to say thanks so much to everyone for taking the time to sign this petition as well as any other petitions out there. We've had a great response in the last 24 hours with growth in signatories really speeding up and that's down to everyone that has taken the time to sign and share on Facebook/ Twitter etc. With this petition we really wanted to focus on winning Australians themselves over to the idea that providing an exemption for existing PRs/ visa holders already in the country is just the fair and right thing to do. We wanted to emphasise that it is still totally consistent for anyone to support all the other proposed changes for NEW ENTRANTS and sign our petition. Ultimately - people will have their opinions on what the process for citizenship should be and that is totally fine, but Australia should honour the existing 'deals' offered to everyone already here based on the rules at the time they entered and committed to Australia - could anyone disagree with that? Please please share and reshare and send to your Aussie mates - if we can win them all over to this specific case around exemptions then we've got a far larger group of potential supporters who actually have the right to vote!
