Force Malaysian Schools to protect girls from rape and sexual assault

Force Malaysian Schools to protect girls from rape and sexual assault
Why this petition matters
An estimation from 2019 shows that about 1 in 3 Malaysian women face some form of sexual harassment and/or assault. Most Malaysian girls spend 11 years in school, during this period of education, plenty of girls experience sexual harassment from people they trust (i.e. family and friends) as well as strangers on public transportation, public toilets etc.
Many young girls may not know that they're experiencing sexual harassment until they are much older and understand what rape or sexual harassment is. In order to identify sexual abuse, it is important that victims understand what sexual abuse is in they first place.
Sign this petition if you think schools should make it mandatory to have ceramahs or talks that explain what sexual harassment is and how they can go about reporting sexual harassment to the Women's Aid organisation and SCAN, or to their school teachers.
If we can find the time to tell girls to dress modestly, and keep themselves "pure" for marriage, we can educate them on if/ when they are being sexually exploited.
