Here is a short note from me. Well, Perodua just announced a product update for their Axia model. Well if you look at the link that I have shared here, back in 2016 they have said that none of their current models except Bezza can fit Electronic Stability Control(ESC) or known as Vehicle Stability Control(VSC) but now for the 2019 model update they are fitting it. If you could recall back what Toyota has done way back in 2012 for their Camry model, they did something similar like this and in 2013 they fitted it in their model after getting criticism. So we as a consumer are getting cheated with all kind of tricks from car manufacturer/distributors.

For your information, the cars that are assembled locally in Malaysia are getting cut cost measure from the management team. For example, Honda car soundproof is removed in order to save cost. Since we cannot see soundproof on our naked eye, it is easy for car assembly teams to remove it/reduce the number of layers. If you have driven Singapore Honda cars and Malaysia Honda cars, the differences are day and night. That is how we Malaysians are getting cheated from these car companies. And mind you, the previous government gave EEV incentives for most of Honda models that being assembly here yet they the management team are doing this cut cost measures. The EEV savings itself is huge but car companies such as Honda, Toyota and Perodua are not passing down the savings to the consumers. All we get is a cheap quality car at high prices. UMW Toyota Motors somehow did something similar to this way back in 2013 for their Vios model where there is no soundproof on the roof but after getting criticism they did fit for their customers at their service centre. So, guys, you tell me are we going to keep buying cars at high prices for a low quality product?
