Since we launched this petition to make the Heated Rivalry fleece official Team Canada merch, the conversation around it has grown far beyond TikTok comments and fan edits.

Most recently, star Hudson Williams, who plays Shane Hollander, revealed on Andy Cohen Live, Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM talk show, that professional athletes across hockey, football, and basketball have been reaching out privately after seeing the show, often anonymously through emails and Instagram DMs. Williams said some of these athletes identified themselves as “still in the closet,” showing how deeply Heated Rivalry is resonating with real-life players beyond entertainment alone.
