Hello supporters!

We have great news :) Our petition has passed the 5,000 Sheffield Residents signatures required to trigger a debate at the full council meeting on 14th September at Sheffield Town Hall! Thanks to everyones support, we can keep the profile of this campaign high on the councils agenda.

We're organising a demonstration outside Sheffield Town Hall on Wednesday 14th September. Gathering at 12pm for a 12.30 - 1.30pm demonstration to show our support to Repair not Demolish the Rose Garden Cafe. We would love you to come down, bring a placard, voice your concern as supporters of the campaign. Let's show this council how much support there is for saving the building and reopening it as quickly as possible to get the staff who are so dedicated to the community back in there, doing what they do best.

The council meeting itself will begin at 1.30/2pm where I and fellow core campaigners will present the petition to the council for debate. There is space for 50 members of the public in the gallery, but we're told there may also be an area for an audio feed to be listened to for anyone who cant fit in the council chamber.

It's now been 50 days since closure, 50 days of inaction and 12 jobs lost. It's time to show the council just how angry we are about this wilful neglect and inaction on their part.

If you want to know more there are several ways to keep up to date:

savesheffield.org has all the latest news or you can join our facebook campaign .

We hope to see you (and hear you!) on the 14th September if you can join us.

Again, huge thank you to everyone who has signed, without your support we wouldn't be able to demand action.

We'll keep you updated!

Thanks,

The Save the Rose Garden Cafe Campaign Group.
