We have some incredible momentum, but a "threat" has appeared on our eastern border.

Missouri is making their move.

On March 4th, a bill is heading before the Missouri State Legislature to officially recognize the Smooth Chanterelle (Cantharellus lateritius) as their official state mushroom.

Now, we all know the history here. From the "Border War" to the basketball court, Kansas and Missouri have been at it since before we were even states. We simply cannot let our neighbors across the line claim mycological glory while we’re still sitting on the sidelines!

If there is one thing more "Kansas" than a Cottonwood tree, it’s making sure we don't let Missouri get one over on us. 🌻
