My Choice Was Taken featured in this week’s Closer Magazine

Thank you so much to everyone who has already signed this petition and supported the campaign to make reproductive coercion a standalone criminal offence in the UK.

I wanted to share an important update with you. My Choice Was Taken (@mychoicewastaken) is featured in this week’s Closer Magazine, on pages 12–13, where I share my story of losing my child following a forced surgical abortion while in an abusive relationship with my ex-partner.

Sharing something so deeply personal is never easy, but I am doing so because reproductive coercion needs to be recognised, understood and taken seriously. No one should have to experience what I did, and no one should have to fight for their experiences to be acknowledged.

This campaign is about pushing for legal change, raising awareness and making sure that reproductive coercion is recognised as the serious form of abuse it is. Education is protection, and reproductive coercion must be a crime in its own right.
