Hello,
I am extremely proud of what we, the recovery community, families and allies have accomplished in a very short period of time. With your help, we collected over 900 signatures supporting the call for Recovery Coaches to be Recognized in WI as a certifiable profession. Today will be the last day of the petition. I am going to be sending email messages, with your signatures and testimonials, to the Department of Health Secretary Andrea Palm and Department of Safety and Professional Services Secretary Dawn B. Crim requesting they develop a certification track for Recovery Coaches in WI. I am hopeful our message will be heard and they will respond quickly and accordingly with our ask. 

The other aspect of this is that you, the voices of Recovery in WI can contact your representatives HERE asking them to support the legislative priorities being introduced at RECOVERY ALIGNMENT DAY April 3rd, 2019 in Madison WI. One of which is to direct the Department of Health to recognize coaches. We have contacted all of the WI Senate and Assembly notifying them that their constituents will be reaching out to set up a time to talk between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. 

Please reach out to them Monday, April 1st to set up your meeting!

It has been an honor and privilege to host this petition for all of you. I truly hope that we, together, can make our presence as the Recovery Community felt and our Voices heard as the experts and leaders in our experiences and this field. Recovery Coaches are invaluable, incredible and amazingly powerful resources that deserve to be at the table with decision-makers and recognized as a legitimate and professional vocation in the state of WI! I look forward to seeing you at Recovery Alignment Day.
