I've engaged every medium I had time for - but I'm currently in the middle of tending to a wife that had wisdom teeth removed, and two children so I can definitely use any help sharing and engaging this as much as possible from all of the supporters.
We, the players, and purchasers of this game - need to make sure that Starbreeze understands the impact their inability to effectively deliver a product has. Not only did they fail us by not properly testing the second Technical Beta and not having offline play to BEGIN with and with bots that LITERALLY stand there useless; but they failed us by having issues on the day of luanch that have prevented most of us from playing at all today.
This is, in short, unacceptable, but the long-winded statement regarding it is that it's unprofessional, and is just as damaging as games that have launched recently and had similar issues such as CDPR's "Cyberpunk 2077" and it's MASSIVE failure of a launch, or the redesign of Sonic the Hedgehog for the movie by its animation team. Situations like these can ruin a studio and as someone that's played Payday for over a Decade now that's NOT something I want to see happen especially in this era where games and entertainment is catering more and more to the cancel culture.
I'm GREATLY appreciative of everyone's support, and signing of this virtual petition, and am glad to see that I'm not the only person whom feels this oversight was completely and utterly unjustified; but if we do not make enough of a "stand" now then I fear all hope will be lost and I'd like VERY much for this to be something that happens (as I'm sure we all would.)
As such I encourage, nay, emplore you all to share this in any way that you can imagine to ensure that we continue to push the development team and help them understand that this is one of many ways they could have made this game better. They screwed the proverbial pooch with this launch, and it's up to us to show them that we won't stand for it. We want to play a game where we take OTHER people's money in a virtual environment, not be stolen from and made the victims ourselves. We've had enough of that in the past with game development studios releasing half-baked excuses for games then trying to profit off our losses. I don't think that was their intention, but it's certainly been their execution thus far.
