I've been thinking of doing a petition to get Oz to Christmas Number 1 for a while now. Mainly here in the UK, but why not everywhere else!
But this morning I read The Darkness (who have been very vocal on the family's friends tribute to Oz on MTV earlier this year) are aiming for a Christmas Number One covering Cliff Richard, I thought f**k it, lets give it a go, give them the middle finger as it would really piss them off.
Choosing the song was the part lingering in my mind, what song, there was a charity single of War Pigs with Judas Priest, and so many in Ozzy's catalogue that could of easily taken the top spot, Dreamer, Changes, Goodbye to Romance, Ordinary Man.
But with a song that's going to win this, and is universally loved by all, Mama I'm Coming Home seems to be the logical choice.
Let's hope it succeeds, if not make some headway, and give our Prince of Darkness one final send off this year.
