Make NSW a better place for young people

Our community cares about young people in NSW and Yfoundations' want our representatives to show that they care too.

Right now, youth homelessness is increasing, suicide is the leading cause of death for young people, too many young people are without a secure job, and our child protection system ignores young people at risk of significant harm.

This is unacceptable!

In the lead up to the NSW State Election we are asking NSW candidates to choose to make NSW a better place for young people. Yfoundations is calling on the NSW State Government to commit to ending Youth Homelessness by 2030, in order to do so Yfoundations have identified 5 key priorities:

  1. Improve Support for Under 18 year olds at-risk of Homelessness
  2. Fully Fund Early Intervention Services
  3. Increase Trauma Informed Support for Children and Young People
  4. A better resourced and informed homelessness referral line
  5. Pathways to independence

Can we count on you to make NSW a better place for young people?

Youth Homelessness has increased at a rate of 92% since 2006. It is getting worse and we need to commit to ending youth homelessness. Visit Yfoundations 2019 NSW State Election Platform to read more about how to end youth homelessness.
