Hi everyone, just so it is clear, my following contact with the Mayor’s Office regarding Notting Hill Carnival funding, they acknowledged that there is an issue with the lack of ongoing Central Government financial support for Carnival, and that the Mayor has had to step in to help support the event. This confirms that the concerns raised in the campaign are real and recognised at City Hall level. As we approach the 60th Anniversary, the conversation around permanent protection and funding for Carnival is becoming increasingly important that I do wish and plan to explore further.
