My name is Kelly and since 2009 I had to go on full disability living my life with debilitating pain due to multiple challenges. Last summer after having lower back pain in my back & back of both legs I saw a neurologist & he ordered me two MRIs  &  I was diagnosed with severe Spinal Stenosis I am also combating lymphedema and lipedema in both legs, poor blood circulation & ongoing nerve damage.  Being a SSDI recipient, I've found it impossible to get relief for my chronic pain through a promising method: Nerve Decompression Therapy. These devices are housed in chiropractors' offices and clinics, but their high cost creates a barrier to access. The therapies are not covered by medical insurance of any kind and with my free consultation I had I was told it would cost me out-of-pocket around $36,000.

Access to these machines shouldn’t be a matter of financial well-being, but a fundamental right for anyone. suffering - like myself - from chronic pain. For this reason, this petition calls for two critical changes: First, that nerve decompression services begin accepting medical insurance as a form of payment, and next, that these therapies are written into medical insurance coverage policies. Health shouldn't be a luxury, it should be accessible to all.
