The Federal Budget released this week provided no indication that the 20 Medicare funded psychology sessions scheme will be extended in the new year.
Please keep sharing the petition to raise awareness about this issue.
It's a big blow to a lot of us, especially young people like me who've had to cope with a once-in-a-lifetime event like COVID-19. 20 sessions helped me deal with my ongoing anxiety when I was in year 12 during the pandemic. I don't think 10 would have been that effective. I know many of us are/ have been in similar situations.
I'm proud of what we've achieved together though. We've shared loudly what we want and advocated for others. Our petition was covered by the Australian to help raise awareness. I'll keep campaigning for this change whenever I can.
