Hello there, it’s Chelsea - the petition starter! I’ve got big news: this week, creating or even asking for an AI-made nude will become a crime in the UK. That’s a huge shift in a very short amount of time, and it happened because people like you refused to accept that “nothing can be done” about this growing and important issue. Thank you. 💙

But we’re not done yet. 

The government has said it will also ban “nudification” apps, but that still has to pass through Parliament. We also need:

Real consequences for the worst offenders (clear penalties and charging guidance).

Faster takedowns when abuse is reported, not days or even weeks later.

Practical support for victims, including quick court orders and help to get images removed.
This campaign started because I kept seeing women and girls I know, such as creators, students, and friends, having their photos turned into fake nudes. I was scared it could happen to me too, so I decided to start this petition. Nobody should have to live in fear that just posting a picture could open you up to sexual harassment.
