While I'm pleased to announce that I currently have 625 signatures on my sister petition regarding the CDC opioid cutbacks, I must stress that the insurance rejection issues are just as critical as not being able to receive medication. If you think about it, they work hand in hand. If your insurance company is rejecting you where your treatment is concerned, you won't be able to get a diagnosis or medications needed to help your condition! Please everyone...share this petition as much as possible. My cause is not just about being able to receive meds. It's about getting the medical treatment you deserve, and in many cases, it starts with approval or rejection of doctors' requests by the insurance companies. I've had to file a complaint with my state insurance commission, and I also gave my insurance company a negative rating on Consumer Affairs. This ruffled some feathers. NOW, they want to talk and see what they can do to help me!
Three words to you all: PERSISTENCE IS KEY!! And when a person is denied for something as simple as an MRI, especially after following the insurance company's protocol and getting zero improvement in their condition and actually getting worse, there should be no question regarding further testing! Please...help me help you!! There must be some backing to force their hands and demand that they provide the services we are paying for! Share this petition with everyone you know! Best wishes!
